I really dislike the nerve issues I have in my spine at my neck. Doctors tell me there is not much I can do about it. It is not bad enough for surgery, but it causes problems with the feeling in shoulders, arms and hands. Some days get very painful indeed. When it acts up I use a heated rice bag to ease the muscle spasms that get triggered by the nerve impingement, and I stretch and change positions often just trying to get relief. One thing that really helps is a few trips to my San Jose chiropractor for adjustments.
When it gets bad, I go to the chiropractor. Sometimes I wait too long and need to make four or five appointments to get the relief I need to keep working. If I go on the first day the pain starts again, I am usually good after one visit. It depends on the level of inflammation that gets going, and that depends on how long I wait to get to the chiropractor. I have been going to the same San Jose chiropractor for years because of this chronic condition. I want to avoid going under the knife at all costs. I have yet to see anyone who gets real improvement after back surgery. They seem to me to be worse off than they were before.
I get real relief going to the chiropractor. I have a chronic condition with my neck, and the manipulations relieve my pain. The relief of pressure on the nerves helps the inflammation to subside. When it calms down, I feel like a normal human being again. I don’t mind going to the chiropractor because it works for me. It is not a permanent fix for my condition, but neither is surgery. As long as it does not hurt, I am okay.
